Proton M with Inmarsat 5F3 at Launch Pad Now. / August 25, 2015 /

During the prelaunch preparation of the British Inmarsat 5F3 telecommunication spacecraft scheduled for 28 August 2015, today, the ILV Proton M with the Breeze M upper stage and Inmarsat 5F3 were installed on launch pad 200, Baikonur.

Earlier this morning of 25 August, ILV Proton M was rolled out from the assembly & test building and transported Launch Facility. Here, the ILV was erected and installed into the launching device. The experts of the Russian Rocket & Space Industry commenced the Countdown Day 1 operations.

Inmarsat 5-F2, predecessor of Inmarsat 5-F3 for global operator of the British satellite telecommunication company Inmarsat was successfully placed into orbit by Proton-M in February this year.
