Last analogue "Progress" undocked from ISS. / September 22, 2009 /

The last analogue truck «Progress» undocked from the International space station, informs RIA Novosti news agency. The truck will stay in an orbit till September, 27th, 2009 then it will be flooded in Pacific ocean.

The ship «Progress М-67» is the last truck equipped with an analogue control system. All subsequent cargo spaceships will be equipped with a digital control system. These changes, according to experts, have allowed to increase reliability «Progressov», and also to release a place for additional consignments.

Before definitive  destruction «Progress» will participate in experiment «Plasma-progress». Within the limits of this experiment scientists from the Earth will observe of characteristics of clouds of plasma which result from work of engines of the device.

The first digital «Progress М-01М» has departed to space on November, 26th, 2008. Onboard the cargo ship there were two and a half ton of payloads, including — water, the scientific equipment, and also personal things for cosmonauts on ISS.
