Space Shuttle Discovery undocked from the ISS. / September 9, 2009 /

Shuttle «Discovery» undocked from the International Space Station and flys to Earth, reports AFP. After removing that occurred on September 8 at 19:26 GMT, shuttle made a circuit around the ISS to photograph the station. On Earth «Discovery» due to arrive on the night of 10 to 11 September.

Shuttle «Discovery» was launched from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral on August 28. Shuttle launch postponed three times — twice because of adverse weather conditions, and once because of technical problems that could quickly be removed.

On board the «Discovery» ISS arrived six astronauts, including Nicole Stott, who was replaced on the station by Tim Koper, who was at the station since mid-July. During the time spent on the ISS astronauts «Discovery» conducted three EVAs, doing most of the scheduled works, except for connecting the cable to the new module Node 3.
