Broken toilet has repaired at ISS .. / July 21, 2009 /

As previously reported, the breakage of pump toilets, located on the U.S. module «Destiny», occurred shortly after seven astronauts of «Endeavor» has arrived at the station.

Repairing equipment were Russian Gennady Padalka and Belgian Frank De Winne (Frank De Winne). After the repair and inspection specialists toilet NASA astronauts have made good on its use.

At this time aboard the station there are three bathrooms.

Breaking of the toilets on the ISS took place in the past: in particular, the accident has occurred in summer and autumn of 2008.

Previously also reported that the approximate cost of a bathroom set up for use in conditions of weightlessness, is 150 million dollars.
