The Russian cosmodrome «Vostochny», which should start in 2015, will be equipped with two platforms for launching rockets. On it informs RIA Novosti reported with reference to the statement of Deputy Head of Russian Federal Space Agency Sergei Saveliev.

Need to build two sets to launch rockets in Roskosmos explained the alleged heavy load spaceport. According to the presentation Saveliev, which was presented at the 61 th International Astronautical Congress in Prague, along with two launching pads, the infrastructure of the Baikonur will include a medical center and a center for training of astronauts for launch.

The report also noted that the development of infrastructure necessary to pave 150 kilometers of railways and the same number of kilometers of roads. Earlier, the Russian government has promised over the next three years to devote to the construction of Spaceport 24.7 billion rubles.

Construction of Spaceport «Vostochny», which will be located in the Amur region, to begin in 2011. The first of two launch complexes planned to be operational by 2015. Presumably, by 2018, all manned space flights of Russia will carry out fro «Vostochny» cosmodrome.

Earlier, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced that an agreement with Kazakhstan on the use of the Baikonur space center will operate until 2050. At the same time, representatives of Kazakhstan’s space agency said that the spaceport has already exhausted its resources by 2022.
