Atlantis astronauts completed the last spacewalk.. / November 24, 2009 /NASA astronauts completed the third and final spacewalk in the shuttle mission Atlantis to the ISS. As reported at NASA, astronauts Randy Bresnik and Robert Satcher spent five hours and 42 minutes in the space, for completing work wich has begun in the two previous spacewalks, in particular, the installation of the experimental units outside the station. As noted, it was a 230-th spacewalk in the history of American cosmonautics and the second for Bresnika and Satcher. Shuttle Atlantis was launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida on Nov. 16, 2009. The mission of the shuttle will last 11 days. Upon completion of the flight of the American shuttles will remain for another five expeditions, then the astronauts in orbit will bring Russias Soyuz. |
