Progress M-26M Mission Completes. / August 14, 2015 /

On 14 August, 2015, around 17:17 Moscow Time, the splashdown of the Progress M-26M cargo ship’s unburnt fragments occurred in the non-navigation part of the Pacific Ocean.

According to the program in the onboard computer, at 16:28 Moscow Time, the propulsion device was switched to braking as planned and then the supervised deorbit of the cargo ship began.

Earlier, today at 13:18 Moscow Time, the command to undock was sent and at 13:19 Moscow Time, the vehicle undocked successfully from the ISS’s Zvezda Service Module.

According to the schedule of spaceflights to the International Space Station, the HVT-5 Japanese resupply ship is scheduled for launch on 17 August and in four days it is expected to dock to the ISS. On 28 August, the Soyuz TMA-16M will dock to the docking unit of the Russian Zvezda Module and then will be redocked from the Poisk mini-research module. The launch and docking of the manned Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft are scheduled for September 2. The next and the last Russian Progress M-M cargo ship – Progress M-29M is scheduled for launch on 1 October 2015.
