"Zenit-2SB" preparing for launch. / October 17, 2011 /

In the construction of 41 on-site 42 Baikonur joint calculations of FSUE TsENKI — Space Center, «South» and the State Enterprise «Design Bureau» Southern "name Yangel (Ukraine) today launched the mechanical and electrical docking stage space rocket (ILV ) «Zenit-2SB» and install the antenna system.

Starting ILV «Zenit-2SB» with interplanetary station «Phobos-Grunt» is scheduled for November.

Project «Phobos-Grunt» involves the creation of automatic space segment to provide for the collection and delivery to Earth of samples of soil from a satellite of Mars — Phobos, carrying out a complex research of Phobos and Mars remote and contact methods, as well as the creation of a unified multi-purpose module designed to address number of fundamental and applied problems of space research.
