Declared 3rd of November a strong earthquake forecast in Taiwan was realised. Seismic event occurred on November 5, 2009 with a magnitude of M5, 8 (Taiwan seismologists estimated magnitude of the M6, 0). Power aftershocks reached 7 points. No injuries or damage.

Proactive report-presentation of the forecast was made on Nov. 4, 2009 in Tainan University Dr. I. Shugan (Lomonosov Moscow State University), sent to interested parties. Operational forecast for all the parameters were as follows: Date of November 4-6, force — 6-7 points, the zone — about. Taiwan. Was presented method of calculating forecast.
